Here, the beautiful barn owl comes to land with its talons ready and its powerful wings dancing in the haze of summer light. 
 
To me this moment is all about light. This moment where the barn owl sweeps its wings to descend is one I have painted inumerous times, each one different - the pose, the colours, the way the owl's stillness and energy shimmers in front of our eyes. 
 
It is a moment of unfolding light, grace and movement.
 
I adore owls, and my spirit was soaring when I was painting this piece. The soft palette of gold, green and rose, with the deep russet undertones of burnt sienna, is so peaceful.
 
This painting will bring balance, beauty and light to any home.
