"Heart Held"

Even living in a very rural area, with plenty of rivers and lakes, I find it a rare thing to see an otter, and rarer still to see more than one in the wild (though I did once have a wonderful encounter with a baby otter).

For me, seeing otters is most likely to happen along quiet stretches of shoreline on Scottish sea lochs. My husband and I have both been fortunate enough to witness families or pairs of otters playing together on more than one occasion.

This piece speaks to the tenderness and connection that exists between animals that are bonded together. It is a loving, peaceful painting, in soft golden browns and greys.

Watercolour infused with flower essences on Saunders Waterfood 300gsm NOT paper. Available mounted on wood panel with solid wood white surround frame. (Please note: the frame for this piece is white, not brown as shown in the mock-up framed images above.)

Size of painted area: 12 x 12"

Size of framed piece: around 15x15"
