This print comes from a painting I created for the Wilder Lakes Exhibition with the National Trust in the summer of 2024.
As with other kestrel paintings I have done, I wanted to catch the sense of the bird in flight, with the wind rushing around it, as it holds and hovers above its prey.
The old name for a kestrel is a windhover - a beautiful name for this bird that effortlessly maintains its poise on currents of air.
Fine art print on 300gsm paper. Each print has a white border around it to make it easy to place in a frame.
Printed area: 9x12"
Please note: you are purchasing an unframed print. Any images of the print framed are for reference purposes only. If you would like guidance around framing, please get in touch.

COLOURS ON THE SCREEN: In real life, the colours within the painting are always slightly different from the way my camera captures them or your screen shows them, so the overall painting will either be a little paler or darker, depending on the settings of our various technologies.
I am happy to email you multiple pictures of the painting, including close-ups, before you buy so that you can get a good sense of the final image. Feel free to get in touch to request this.
