TERMS OF BUSINESS
For Rachel Singleton Art
Last updated: December 2025
These Terms of Business outline how I offer and sell original artwork and commissions. By purchasing from my website or contacting me to commission a piece, you agree to the terms below. If you have any questions before ordering, please feel free to get in touch.
1. About the Artist
All artwork is created and sold by Rachel Singleton, a watercolour artist specialising in wildlife and the spirit of the natural world.
Email: rachelsingleton.art (at) gmail.com
Location: Little Langdale, Cumbria, UK
2. Purchasing Original Artwork
2.1 Product Descriptions
I make every effort to ensure that artwork descriptions, measurements, and images are accurate. Please be aware that colours will vary slightly depending on screen settings. The original painting itself, when seen in real life, is often more subtle and more luminous than the images on screen.
2.2 Availability
Each original artwork is unique and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Once it has been purchased and received, it will be marked as sold on the website as soon as possible. If you see a piece that you like that has gone, you are welcome to discuss commissioning a version of the painting/subject for yourself.
2.3 Pricing
All prices are listed in GBP.
Prices may change over time but will always remain as displayed at the point of purchase.
3. Payment Terms
To purchase a painting, please use the ENQUIRE button to get in touch. Once a sale is agreed, you will receive an invoice giving you secure payment options. Payment methods include BACS, PayPal and Wise. Your payment information is not stored by me and is handled according to your provider’s security standards.
Full payment is required at the time of purchase except in the case of Commissions (see below) where payment is in two instalments.
4. Commissions
4.1 Commission Process
Commissioned artwork is created in collaboration, between Rachel and the customer. For full details of the process go here.
4.2 Pricing & Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to begin a commission.
The remaining balance is due upon completion and before delivery.
4.3 Revisions
Minor adjustments may be possible upon completion of the painting; however, this is not always possible given the unique nature of an original painting - Rachel will always follow your brief as closely as possible.
Significant changes beyond the agreed brief will incur additional fees.
4.4 Non-Returnable
Commissioned works are non-refundable and non-returnable. In the rare event of damage during delivery you will be fully refunded or, where possible, Rachel may be able to offer you a replacement. Please be aware that this will depend on her other bookings, and any completed piece will again be a new and unique work in its own right. Every measure is made to ensure safe transit of paintings.
